Obviously green laser pointers have a certain amount of space and you want the results to be elegant. So we will work through proofing processes and find the best solution.
Logos are possible, just keep in mind the results are monochromatic ( single color ). So when you point us to a multi-color image, we have to go to work and convert it so it will engrave in a single color.
The Army and USMC laser pointers produce a gold engraved appearance. The Navy and USAF produce either a light blue tint or a bright chrome engraving to match the shiny silver clip and trim. The choice is yours!
Where To Engrave
Most often the sides of the pointers are a good choice. Once again we can try the face ( where the insignias are located ) and the backside of the pointer is available too but seldom used.
Engraving Charges
Each line is typically $8 and there are frequent specials, instant rebates and other incentives which provides free engraving so keep a watchful eye to Twitter and Facebook.
We don't like charging for converting graphic elements unless our graphic artist must re-draw the symbol or image from scratch. If we have to go that route, we will discuss the challenge with you first as the decision is always yours!
Production Time
Typically we try and get standard single line word based engravings completed in 2 business days from your order. More complex engravings can take longer.
When there's a major rush near holidays it will take a little longer and rest assured we will send you an email advisory.

Customizing with Unit Patches, Flashes, Insignias
We use a 4color printing process to apply the insignias on most of the customized pointers with the exception being Navy and USMC. Those two standard pointers have actual 3 dimensional jewelry anchored to the laser pointer; the Navy has a silver metal anchor and USMC has a two tone metal Marine Corps Seal with anchor and globe.
We often receive inquiries to see if we can create a pointer with a specific emblem or insignia. Our art department is second to none and is happy to discuss the process with you. Currently, the economics of 4color printing on the laser pointers sets the market at about 25 lasers. However, it is possible to do fewer and spread the extra cost across fewer production units. Each request is handled on a case by case basis because not all insignias are equal, some are easier than others!
